El flujo sangu\u00edneo y el flujo a\u00e9reo. Fuerzas f\u00edsicas no apropiadas ejercidas sobre las c\u00e9lulas y los tejidos de la v\u00eda a\u00e9rea contribuyen a varias situaciones fisiopatol\u00f3gicas. Un mejor conocimiento de c\u00f3mo estas fuerzas act\u00faan en las c\u00e9lulas y los tejidos nos pueden ayudar a dise\u00f1ar nuevas estrategias en el tratamiento y la prevenci\u00f3n de diferentes enfermedades. el objetivo de esta tesis se ha centrado en estudiar el papel de dos est\u00edmulos mec\u00e1nicos para diferentes condicones patol\u00f3gicas. En un caso se ha estudiado los efectos del est\u00edmulo vibratorio relacionado con obstructive sleep apnea, c\u00f3mo la vibraci\u00f3n puede inducir una respuesta inflamatoria en c\u00e9lulas epiteliales bronquiales a trav\u00e9s de la sobreexpresi\u00f3n de la citoquina il-8. El otro estudio se ha basado en estudiar como un est\u00edmulo de estiramiento asociado a la ventilaci\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica en pacientes que padecen, da\u00f1o pulmonar agudo juntamento con un mediador inflamatorio, la trombina, pueden alterar las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas de las c\u00e9lulas y contribuir en la rotura de la barrera alvolocapilar agravando la formaci\u00f3n de edema pulmonar.     el ronquido es una vibraci\u00f3n de la v\u00eda a\u00e9rea superior asociada a la etapa del sue\u00f1o. Tiene lugar cuando el tejido blando de la v\u00eda a\u00e9rea se relaja y vibra. Los objetivos del primer estudio son: evaluar si un modelo celular de ronquido induce inflamaci\u00f3n celular y si el est\u00edmulo vibratorio simulando el experimentado por los tejidos de la v\u00eda a\u00e9rea en pacientes roncadores induce inflamaci\u00f3n en las c\u00e9lulas epiteliales de la v\u00eda a\u00e9rea. C\u00e9lulas epiteliales bronquiales de la l\u00ednea celular beas-2b fueron sujetas a vibraci\u00f3n (60 hz +- 0.3 mm) durante 6, 12 y 24 horas. El est\u00edmulo vibratorio fue aplicado con y sin un pretratamiento de inhibidores de 3 principales cascadas de mapk: p38, mek1\/2, y jnk.
