Los venenos de las especies venenosas se formaron por reclutamiento y evoluci\u00f3n acelerada de prot\u00e9inas ordinarias. Los proteomas de ias ~serpientes viperinae caracterizados hasta la fecha est\u00e1n constituidos por isoformas de unas pocas (t\u00edpicamente 10-12) familias de prote\u00ednas, cuya abundancia relativa presenta gran variaci\u00f3n interespec\u00edfica. Las prote\u00ednas mayoritarias de los venenos de las v\u00edboras y serpientes de cascabel se agrupan en enzimas (proteasas dependientes de serina, metaloproteasas dependientes de zn2+ del grupo de las reprolisinas, isoenzimas del grupo ii de fosfolipasas a2, l-amino acido oxidasa) y prote\u00ednas sin actividad enzim\u00e1tica (prote\u00ednas similares a lectinas dependientes de ca2+ y disintegrinas). Las metaloproteasas dependientes de zn+2 (svmp) son toxinas modulares y se clasifican en pi-piv en funci\u00f3n de los dominios que las forman. Las disintegrinas (40-100 aas) son liberadas al veneno por procesamiento proteol\u00edtico de las metaloproteasas pii y act\u00faan inhibiendo la adhesi\u00f3n de las integrinas a sus ligandos. Se clasifican en funci\u00f3n de su longitud y n\u00famero  de enlaces disulfuro en monom\u00e9ricas largas (-90 aas, 7 ss), medias (-70 aas, 6 ss) y cortas (- 40 aas, 4 ss) y dim\u00e9ricas (subunidades de -63 aas, 2 ss inter.- Y 4 ss intracatenarios). La composici\u00f3n prote\u00edca del veneno crudo de sistrurus m. Barbouri, echis ocellatus y bitis arietans se analiz\u00f3 mediante rp-hplc, espectrometria de masas y secuenciaci\u00f3n n-terminal. Asi pudimos adjudicar cada pico obtenido tras la separaci\u00f3n a ramilias de prote\u00ednas conocidas. Mediante combinaci\u00f3n de tecnicas de quimica de prote\u00ednas y prote\u00f3mica hemos establecido una rota evolutiva para las disintegrinas basada en la p\u00e9rdida sucesiva de enlaces disulfuro y el procesamiento proteol\u00edtico del extremo n-terminal.
