Se determinan los niveles biodisponibles para distintos metales pesados y su correlaci\u00f3n con par\u00e1metros e \u00edndices morfol\u00f3gicos y fisiol\u00f3gicos de la planta de tabaco. Se demostr\u00f3 que esta planta puede crecer en presencia de cantidades elevadas de cadmio y plomo sin presentar s\u00edntomas de toxicidad. Se estudi\u00f3 la variedad de tabaco criollo 98 y sus potencialidades en relaci\u00f3n con la asimilaci\u00f3n de los metales pesados cadmio y plomo. Se demostr\u00f3 la alta capacidad de asimilaci\u00f3n de la planta para estos elementos, fundamentales de cadmio. Esta variedad de tabaco es capaz de recuperar hasta el 30% de cadmio en la primera cosecha, por lo que se investigan las potencialidades de esta variedad para t\u00e9cnicas de
