El tratamiento con tnp-470 previene el da\u00f1o en el tejido hep\u00e1tico y disminuye la expresi\u00f3n de la glutati\u00f3n s-transferasa placentaria. Todo ello indica la capacidad del f\u00e1rmaco para inhibir el crecimiento tumoral en nuestro modelo de hepatocarcinoma. el hepatocarcinoma produce en la rata un incremento del peso hep\u00e1tico y de la relaci\u00f3n hepatosom\u00e1tica y menor ganancia de peso corporal. El tratamiento con tnp-470 disminuye el peso hep\u00e1tico y la relaci\u00f3n hepatosom\u00e1tica en el grupo de animales con hepatocarcinoma y produce una p\u00e9rdida de peso en todos los animales tratados. Indicando que a pesar de su efecto beneficioso el tratamiento con tnp-470 muestra una ligera toxicidad. el hepatocarcinoma incrementa la concentraci\u00f3n plasm\u00e1tica del factor de crecimiento angiog\u00e9nico vegf y la expresi\u00f3n hep\u00e1tica del factor de crecimiento angiog\u00e9nico hgf . La administraci\u00f3n de tnp-470 al grupo de animales con hepatocarcinoma previene estos incrementos, confirmando en este modelo un efecto antiangiog\u00e9nico. el hepatocarcinoma implica cambios en las defensas antioxidantes con reducci\u00f3n de la actividad hep\u00e1tica de las enzimas catalasa, glutati\u00f3n peroxidasa tanto citos\u00f3lica como mitocondrial y de la super\u00f3xido dismutasa citos\u00f3lica (sod-cu\/zn); as\u00ed como incremento en la actividad hep\u00e1tica de la enzima super\u00f3xido dismutasa mitocondrial (sod-mn). Estos cambios se acompa\u00f1an de un acentuado incremento en la expresi\u00f3n hep\u00e1tica de la sod-mn y sin cambios en la expresi\u00f3n hep\u00e1tica de las otras enzimas. El tratamiento con tnp-470 mantiene la actividad de las enzimas y previene el incremento de la expresi\u00f3n de la sod-mn, lo que indica un claro efecto antioxidante del f\u00e1rmaco. el
