Al espacio nuclear que ocupa cada cromosoma se le conoce como territorio cromos\u00f3mico.  Sabemos que la posici\u00f3n respecto el centro del n\u00facleo (posici\u00f3n radial) que ocupa cada cromosoma no es al azar. En fibroblastos humanos hay autores que han relacionado la posici\u00f3n radial de los cromosomas con su densidad g\u00e9nica mientras que otros la han relacionado con el tama\u00f1o cromos\u00f3mico. Sin embargo, en linfocitos y c\u00e9lulas linfoblastoides humanas todas las observaciones apuntan a que los patrones de organizaci\u00f3n de la cromatina est\u00e1n relacionados con la densidad en genes que tiene cada cromosoma, de manera que los de mayor densidad g\u00e9nica tienen una posici\u00f3n preferente m\u00e1s central que los de menor densidad g\u00e9nica. Este patr\u00f3n de organizaci\u00f3n relacionado con la densidad g\u00e9nica se ha observado tambi\u00e9n en c\u00e9lulas linfoblastoides de otras especies de primates, de manera que parece estar evolutivamente conservado. estos antecedentes nos llevaron a plantear la hip\u00f3tesis de que la posici\u00f3n de los cromosomas en el n\u00facleo interf\u00e1sico guarda memoria filogen\u00e9tica de manera que no solo los patrones que influyen en la organizaci\u00f3n radial sino tambi\u00e9n la posici\u00f3n radial concreta de cada cromosoma se hubieran conservado durante la evoluci\u00f3n. As\u00ed pues, como objetivo general nos propusimos investigar la organizaci\u00f3n de los cromosomas en el n\u00facleo interf\u00e1sico de fibroblastos de varias especies de primates y relacionarla con la evoluci\u00f3n filogen\u00e9tica de los cromosomas.  para desarrollar este objetivo, en primer lugar hemos analizado en fibroblastos de las especies de primates homo sapiens, lagothrix lagothricha y saimiri sciureus si la posici\u00f3n radial de los cromosomas est\u00e1 relacionada con el tama\u00f1o cromos\u00f3mico y\/o con la densidad g\u00e9nica.
