Datos obtenidos anteriormente en nuestro laboratorio (su\u00e1rez et al, 2001) mostraron que las neurgeulinas pod\u00edan regular el transporte de glucosa muscular tanto a corto como a largo plazo. Con tal de profundizar en la capacidad que tienen estos factores de regular el metabolismo en m\u00fasculo esquel\u00e9tico, nos propusimos:     1,- caracterizar y entender la regulaci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n de los receptores de neuregulinas en m\u00fasculo, tanto durante el desarrollo como en tejido adulto.     2,- explorar c\u00f3mo las neuregulinas son capaces de estimular el transporte de glucosa en l\u00edneas mioc\u00edticas, en m\u00fasculo esquel\u00e9tico e intentar integrar sus efectos fisiol\u00f3gicamente.     3,- estudiar los efectos cr\u00f3nicos de las neuregulinas sobre el metabolismo, as\u00ed como sus posibles aplicaciones en situaciones de resistencia a la insulina.     nuestros resultados indican que los receptores de neuregulinas es finamente modulada durante la formaci\u00f3n de las fibras musculares. As\u00ed, erb3 muestra elevada expresi\u00f3n en estadios iniciales de la diferenciaci\u00f3n muscular, y se intercambia por erbb4 a medida que progresa la diferenciaci\u00f3n. Erb4 es el principal receptor de las neuregulinas en m\u00fasculo adulto, y su expresi\u00f3n puede aumentar mediante contracci\u00f3n muscular t\u00f3nica. En cuanto a la acci\u00f3n metab\u00f3lica aguda de las neuregulinas, nuestros resutlados indican que las neuregulinas son capaces de estimular el transporte de glucosa  de una manera aditiva e independiente a la insulina, y que, en situaciones de resistencia a la insulina, la acci\u00f3n de las neuregulinas sobre el transporte de glucosa se muestra intacta. las neuregulinas estimulan el transporte de glucosa a trav\u00e9s de, al menos, la v\u00eda pi3k-pdk1-pkcc.
