Se procesaron 5 plantas arom\u00e1ticas (lavandula agustifolia m.X latifolia m.; Rosmarinus officinalis l,; thymus mastichina l.; Hyssopus officinalis l.Spp.Aristatus (godr.) Briq.; Lavandula agustifolia l.X.Latifolia l.), Representativa de las dos matrices herb\u00e1ceas conocidas: hojas y flores: en un equipo piloto, con diferentes flujos del vapor de agua y diferentes porosidades del leche vegetal. Obteni\u00e9ndose exitosamente sus aceites esenciales y caracterizando los positivamente seg\u00fan la normativa vigente o a estudios previos publicados, mediante gc\/ms, refractometr\u00eda y picnometr\u00eda. El modelado fenomenol\u00f3gico desarrollado predice la evoluci\u00f3n de la hidrodestilaci\u00f3n con una precisi\u00f3n aceptable y buena. Los fen\u00f3menos controlantes del proceso son: la exudaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica del aceite esencial desde los tricomas los trocomas glandulares; la evaporaci\u00f3n instant\u00e1nea del aceite en la interfase de la pel\u00edcula superficial y la corriente de vapor circundante; y la difusi\u00f3n proconvenci\u00f3n del aceite en la corriente de vapor que atraviesa el lecho vegetal. los par\u00e1metros del modelado: la constante de exudaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica y el espesor de la capa de aceite en la pel\u00edcula superficial, sirven para comparar la rapidez de la exudaci\u00f3n de una planta frente a otra; y el \u00e1rea de transferencia de masa efectiva entre distintas matrices herb\u00e1ceas. El modelado aplicado a n\u00fameros adimensionales seleccionados, permite establecer al n\u00famero de dank\u00ed\u00b6hler, como el cr\u00edtico para el escalado.
