Las primeras provienen del antiguo chamanismo o est\u00e1n estrechamente relacionadas con \u00e9l. La segunda resulta de la mezcla de culturas tradicionales de salud locales con la cultura de salud tra\u00edda por los conquistadores. En mesoam\u00e9rica, la salud es entendida, desde la tradici\u00f3n, como un equilibrio entre los distintos elementos y fuerzas que componen la gran realidad  y que intervienen en ella (compuesta dicha realidad por lo natural y lo sobrenatural).
