Producen gran diversidad de metabolitos secundarios, entre ellos se encuentran los compuestos fen\u00f3licos, muchos de los cuales act\u00faan como compuestos de defensa frente al ataque de pat\u00f3genos o en respuesta a diferentes condiciones de estr\u00e9s. fusarium oxysporum es un hongo filamentoso pat\u00f3geno de cultivos de gran importancia econ\u00f3mica, de ah\u00ed el gran inter\u00e9s por conocer su mecanismo de patog\u00e9nesis. A pesar de los numerosos estudios ultraestructurales, bioqu\u00edmicos y gen\u00e9ticos, su mecanismo de patog\u00e9nesis es a\u00fan bastante desconocido. en este trabajo se han aislado seis genes responsables de enzimas lacasas en f.Oxysporum f.Sp.Lycopersici. Las prote\u00ednas deducidas muestran los cuatro centros de uni\u00f3n al cobre caracter\u00edsticos de este tipo de prote\u00ednas. La localizaci\u00f3n de las lacasas 1 y 2, en el interior celular, y la 3, en la membrana, se ha determinado mediante su fusi\u00f3n a la prote\u00edna verde fluorescente, gfp, y posterior visualizaci\u00f3n microsc\u00f3pica, mientras que la de las lacasas 4, 5 y 9 se ha determinado mediante el an\u00e1lisis de sus secuencias y la identificaci\u00f3n de p\u00e9ptidos se\u00f1ales en sus regiones n-terminales.     se ha analizado la producci\u00f3n de actividad lacasa extracelular comprob\u00e1ndose que se induce en condiciones de hambre de carbono, en presencia de pectina, principal componente de las paredes celulares vegetales y en presencia de cobre.     la expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica de lcc3 y lcc5 ha mostrado estar regulada por ph ambiental, y m\u00e1s concretamente por una cascada de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n altamente conservada cuyo componente final es el factor de transcripci\u00f3n pacc. Dicho factor act\u00faa reprimiendo la expresi\u00f3n de lcc3 y activando la expresi\u00f3n de lcc5. la anulaci\u00f3n dirigida de los genes lcc1, lcc3 y lcc5, ha mostrado la importancia de los mismos
