Estas enfermedades se caracterizan por la p\u00e9rdida progresiva de c\u00e9lulas nerviosas y la degeneraci\u00f3n del sistema nervioso, produciendo da\u00f1os irreversibles que muchas veces llevan a la muerte. En esta tesis se integran diferentes estrategias al estudio y comprensi\u00f3n de las enfermedades neurodegenerativas, y con especial atenci\u00f3n  a la enfermedad de parkinson. En la primera parte de la tesis se desarrolla el estudio  evolutivo de los genes gdap 1 y uchll, implicados en las enfermedades de charcot- marie- tooth y  parkinson respectivamente. De estos an\u00e1lisis se derivan nuevas hip\u00f3tesis acerca de la funci\u00f3n  de estos genes,as\u00ed como informaci\u00f3n para el uso racional de organismos modelos. En la segunda parte,  se ha estudiado la conservaci\u00f3n de los patrones transcripcionales de uchll en rat\u00f3n y humano.  en la \u00faltima parte de la tesis se desarrollan una serie de nuevas estrategias para el estudio  de las redes de interacci\u00f3n entre prote\u00ednas. Estas estrategias se aplican a datos recientemente publicados para humanos, analizando el contextofuncional de los genes uchll y parkin ( otro gen asociado  a parkinson). La integraci\u00f3n de los resultados obtenidos mediante las diferentes estrategias aplicadas durante la tesis, nos lleva a proponer nuevos modelos celulares acerca de la etiolog\u00eda de  la
