Los gses son fragmentos g\u00e9nicos que pueden codificar un peptido o para un arn antisentido inhibitorio, que act\u00faa de forma dominante sobre la expresi\u00f3n en c\u00e9lulas de mam\u00edferos. El gse24.2 contiene el dominio pseudouridina sintasas de la disquerina, la cual est\u00e1 altamente conservadas a lo largo del proceso evolutivo. las c\u00e9lulas expresado el gse24.2 muestran una disminuci\u00f3n en la inhibici\u00f3n de la actividad telomerasa. Esta parece deberse a una activaci\u00f3n constitutiva del promotor de htert en dichas c\u00e9lulas, y que es dependiente de c-myc. An\u00e1lisis realizados utilizando delecciones y mutaciones de dicho promotor sugieren que la secuencia diana del gse24.2 es el elemento nheiii localizado cerca del promotor p1. Tambi\u00e9n hemos observado como la expresi\u00f3n del gse24.2 en c\u00e9lulas derivadas de pacientes de disqueratosis cong\u00e9nita ligada al cromosoma x y las l\u00edneas celulares va13 y f9 (expresando un gen de la disquerina mutado) reactiva la actividad telomerasa, incrementando los niveles de htert y parece que estabilizando htr: estos datos demuestran que un dominio de la disquerina puede jugar un papel importante en el mantenimiento de la telomerasa despu\u00e9s de insultos celulares, como el tratamiento con cisplatino y en c\u00e9lulas deficientes en actividad telomerasa. La expresi\u00f3n de este fragmento de la disquerina muestra una funci\u00f3n dominante en las c\u00e9lulas x-dc, mostrando la basa para una aproximaci\u00f3n terap\u00e9utica a esta
