Hoy en d\u00eda cada vez m\u00e1s se utilizan termostatos y bombas de agua el\u00e9ctricos en lugar de termostatos tradicionales y bombas mec\u00e1nicas. Las razones principales son la reducci\u00f3n del consumo y la aceleraci\u00f3n del calentamiento. Estos nuevos sistemas de refrigeraci\u00f3n permiten un control m\u00e1s preciso de las temperaturas de pared de la c\u00e1mara de combusti\u00f3n.  el objetivo de esta tesis es investigar el potencial del control de las temperaturas de pared para la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones y la mejora de las prestaciones. primero, un motor diesel de inyecci\u00f3n directa y una cilindrada de 1.6 l fue modificado e instrumentado. Para controlar las temperaturas de paredes, el circuito de refrigeraci\u00f3n fue dividido en tres: un circuito para la camisa, otro para el fire deck (la parte de la culata cerca de la c\u00e1mara de combusti\u00f3n) y un tercero para las pipas de escape. El suministro de aire, egr y fuel del primer cilindro tambi\u00e9n fue separado para un mejor control de los par\u00e1metros respectivos. El pist\u00f3n, la culata y la camisa fueron instrumentados con termopares.  se construy\u00f3 un modelo t\u00e9rmico de esta instalaci\u00f3n con el objetivo de predecir las temperaturas de paredes. Con este modelo se investig\u00f3 la influencia del punto de funcionamiento y de las tres temperaturas de refrigerante sobre las diferentes temperaturas de pared. Despu\u00e9s la instalaci\u00f3n se utiliz\u00f3 para estudiar la influencia de las temperaturas de pared y la temperatura de la carga sobre las emisiones y prestaciones. se eligieron tres puntos representativos para el ciclo europeo de homologaci\u00f3n. Para estos puntos se efectu\u00f3 un screening cuyos resultados se interpretaron mediante un an\u00e1lisis de la combusti\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
