Tras observar que con la adici\u00f3n de estas aleaciones maestras se pod\u00edan conseguir excelentes propiedades mec\u00e1nicas, se ha decidido extender la l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n con los aceros inoxidables pulvi metal\u00fargicos (pm-ss). En el presente trabajo, primeramente, se hace un repaso de las propiedades alcanzadas por los pm-ss sinterizados de forma convencional, junto con un an\u00e1lisis de los aspectos m\u00e1s importantes que tienen lugar durante la sinterizaci\u00f3n, y como afectan tanto a las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas, como a su resistencia a la corrosi\u00f3n, igualmente se ha repasado la informaci\u00f3n que hasta ahora existe publicada respecto a la sinterizaci\u00f3n de aceros inoxidables en presencia de boro.  Ya introducidos en el desarrollo cient\u00edfico, se eligieron varios aceros inoxidables (austen\u00edticos y ferr\u00edticos), los cuales fueron sinterizados en presencia de boro o de las aleaciones maestras con boro desarrolladas en el ceit, con objeto de identificar los procesos de densificaci\u00f3n que tienen lugar, al igual que proporcionar datos finales de densidad, propiedades mec\u00e1nicas y resistencia a la corrosi\u00f3n. Para complementar los estudios, se trabaj\u00f3 con un acero inoxidable con un mayor contenido de cromo que los anteriores. Se han encontrado varios denominadores comunes en los mecanismos de sinterizaci\u00f3n, densificaci\u00f3n, comportamiento mec\u00e1nico a fractura y resistencia a la oxidaci\u00f3n electroqu\u00edmica. Por \u00faltimo, algunos de estos grados fueron estudiados en colaboraci\u00f3n con un productor industrial, dado su inter\u00e9s por la aplicaci\u00f3n de estos materiales en la fabricaci\u00f3n de bridas para el sistema de escape del autom\u00f3vil. El inter\u00e9s suscitado proviene del hecho de que el desarrollo de los materiales de pm-ss realizado en este trabajo, permite alcanzar propiedades y densidades que superan aquellas que se obtienen actualmente mediante la utilizaci\u00f3n de aleaciones comerciales. in previous investigations performed in ceit, the sinterability and densification of structural steels sintered with boron were studied, and master alloys that included this element were developed. Since the mechanical properties were considerably enhanced with the addition of these master alloys, it was decided to apply this procedure to the powder metallurgy of stain\u00edess steels (pm-ss). In the present work, the properties of the pm-ss sintered under standard conditions were initially revised. In addition analysis of the more relevant aspects of the sintering process, and their effect on the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance were studied. A literature review related to the effect of boron addition to the sintering process of stainless steels was all so performed. Several stainless steels (austenitic and ferritic) were chosen to be sintered after the addition of boron or master alloys containing boron, with the objective to identify the densification mechanisms and obtaining high final density values, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. To complement this study, a stain\u00edess steel with higher chromium content was analyzed. Several common characteristics have been identified in the sintering mechanisms, mechanical behaviour and electrochemical corrosion resistance. Inally, some alloys were studied in collaboration with an industrial producer, seeking for application of this material in the escape tubes for automobiles. The interest of this application comes from the properties obtained with the material developed in the present study, substantially higher than the pm-ss used nowadays in commercial
