Se basa en el an\u00e1lisis conjunto de las fuentes literarias y del arte vascular, dedicando especial atenci\u00f3n a \u00e9ste \u00faltimo. Metodol\u00f3gicamente se trata de una tesis que aplica el m\u00e9todo iconogr\u00e1fico, corregido con aspectos relativos a la sociedad y a la recepci\u00f3n y uso de las im\u00e1genes. Se presenta un repertorio de varios cientos de piezas organizadas tem\u00e1ticamente cuyo nexo de uni\u00f3n es la representaci\u00f3n de ariadna como compa\u00f1era de dioniso. La tesis que se defiende es el valor de ariadna como figura asociada al \u00e1mbito del amor feliz dentro del matrimonio y la importancia de este componente a la hora de interpretar su papel al lado
