Se han estudiado tanto sistemas monomet\u00e1licos como bimet\u00e1licos con componentes de diferentes miscibilidad (por ejemplo sistemas au-cu y au-ag de total miscibilidad, as\u00ed como ir-au de pr\u00e1cticamente total inmiscibilidad) con la finalidad de estudiar el cambio que producen tanto en el tama\u00f1o como en la morfolog\u00eda de las nanopart\u00edculas obtenidas. los nanomateriales obtenidos han sido estudiados mediante el empleo de diferentes t\u00e9cnicas de caracterizaci\u00f3n como pueden ser, fisisorci\u00f3n, quimisorci\u00f3n microscopia electr\u00f3nica (sem-tem), difracci\u00f3n de rayos x (xrd), reducci\u00f3n a temperatura programada (tpr), espectroscopia ultravioleta-visible (uv-vis), espectroscopia fotoelectr\u00f3nica (xps), etc., As\u00ed como mediante diferentes ensayos catal\u00edticos modelo con la finalidad de correlacionar las propiedades f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmicas de dichos materiales con los m\u00e9todos de s\u00edntesis de \u00e9stos. se ha hecho especial \u00e9nfasis en el estudio de las diferentes especies de ox\u00edgeno que presentan estos nanomateriales en superficie, as\u00ed como su correlaci\u00f3n con la actividad catal\u00edtica que presentan en diferentes reacciones de oxidaci\u00f3n selectiva de olefinas. Por otra parte, la modificaci\u00f3n de las propiedades \u00e1cido-base de dichos materiales y su car\u00e1cter redox cuando se adiciona metales alcalinos del tipo sodio y cesio, tambi\u00e9n ha sido exhaustivamente estudiado. La formaci\u00f3n de sistemas bimet\u00e1licos y su homogeneidad, as\u00ed como el efecto de dispersi\u00f3n y el cambio en sus propiedades f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmicas que hace un metal sobre el otro, ha sido tambi\u00e9n objeto de estudio en este trabajo. Este hecho se ha puesto en evidencia en el estudio de reacciones de hidrogenolisis del metilciclopentano que permite una buena comprensi\u00f3n de la actividad catal\u00edtica, as\u00ed como de la
