En el presente trabajo de tesis de realiz\u00f3 un estudio comparativo del efecto de la aplicaci\u00f3n de cargas inmediatas y diferidas sobre mini-implantes de titanio \u00ababsoanchor\u00bb respecto a la existencia o no de osteointegraci\u00f3n y al grado de intrusi\u00f3n molar alcanzado en cerdos mini-pigs. Se estudiaron adem\u00e1s, las alteraciones histol\u00f3gicas que pudieran ocurrir en los dientes intruidos y en el hueso circundante. Previamente a estos objetivos, se realiz\u00f3 un estudio con microscopia electr\u00f3nica de barrido para observar la superficie de los mini-implantes absoanchor la cual se presenta totalmente lisa al contrario de la superficie de los implantes dentales convencionales que es rugosa para favorecer la osteointegraci\u00f3n. La utilizaci\u00f3n de la t\u00e9cnica de an\u00e1lisis de espectroscopia de dispersi\u00f3n de energ\u00eda de rx (edx) nos permiti\u00f3 verificar los mini-implantes utilizados contienen, adem\u00e1s de titanio, una cantidad apreciable de aluminio, al contrario de los implantes dentales, con el objetivo de aumentar su resistencia a la fractura.   en el presente trabajo experimental se colocaron 40 mini-implantes en cinco mini-pigs, dos por cada hemiarcada. Los mini-implantes fueron colocados perpendicularmente a la superficie \u00f3sea en las zonas alveolares bilaterales de la mand\u00edbula y del maxilar, en la zona aplical de los segundos y cuartos premolares, despu\u00e9s de la exposici\u00f3n del hueso mediante colagajos mucoperi\u00f3sticos de espesor total. Para la aplicaci\u00f3n de las cargas cada mini-implante fue unido al diente correspondiente con un muelle de nitinol de 150 g de fuerza.
