En esta tesis identificamos el cambio de un residuo en la regi\u00f3n de la \u00abrodilla\u00bb de la mol\u00e9cula como responsable de la reducci\u00f3n hipom\u00f3rfica y semi-dominante de la funci\u00f3n endoc\u00edtica de estos mutantes. Centr\u00e1ndonos en a retina de drosophila, encontramos que el defecto en endocitosis causa la muerte de los dos principales tipos celulares, las c\u00e9lulas pigmentarias y las neuronas fotorreceptoras. La muerte de las c\u00e9lulas pigmentarias interomatidiales se suprime mediante la reducci\u00f3n de la funci\u00f3n de notch, y en animales control puede reproducirse incrementando los niveles de notch en dichas c\u00e9lulas pigmentarias. Estos resultados sugieren fuertemente que la muerte celular de las c\u00e9lulas pigmentarias se debe a un incremento de la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n mediada por notch, como consecuencia de los defectos en endocitosis del mutante, indicando la importancia de la endocitosis mediada por clatrina en la regulaci\u00f3n del receptor notch. La neurodegeneraci\u00f3n retiniana producida por la mutaci\u00f3n en clatrina es dependiente de iluminaci\u00f3n y tiene apoptosis y activaci\u00f3n de caspasas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
