El procesado digital de la voz cantada se inici\u00f3 como \u00e1rea de investigaci\u00f3n a medianos del siglo pasado, cuando se generaron las primeras melod\u00edas humanas sint\u00e9ticas a partir de la investigaci\u00f3n que se llevaba a cabo en el campo del procesado del habla. Aunque ambos campos de investigaci\u00f3n, voz y canto, tienen puntos en com\u00fan, presentan evidentes e importantes diferencias entre s\u00ed, no s\u00f3lo en cuanto a las propiedades del sonido fuente objeto de estudio, sino tambi\u00e9n en cuanto al tipo de aplicaciones a las que se orientan. M\u00e1s concretamente, mientras las tecnolog\u00edas del habla se concentran principalmente en tareas de reconocimiento y s\u00edntesis, las tecnolog\u00edas del canto se concentran, seguramente debido a la consolidaci\u00f3n de una gigantesca industria musical,  en la  experimentaci\u00f3n y transformaci\u00f3n; generando un sinf\u00edn de herramientas que a lo largo de los a\u00f1os han asistido e inspirado a los m\u00e1s conocidos cantantes, m\u00fasicos y productores. La recopilaci\u00f3n de estas herramientas y los algoritmos subyacentes consolidan el punto de inicio de este trabajo. La primera mitad de la tesis compila los trabajos de investigaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s significativos en torno al procesado de la voz cantada basados en dominio espectral, propone una nueva taxonom\u00eda para agruparlos en categor\u00edas, y da detalles espec\u00edficos de aquellas tecnolog\u00edas en las que el autor ha contribuido; que son el modelo sinusoidal m\u00e1s residuo spectral modeling s\u00edntesis (sms), la variante del vocoder de fase bloqueada spectral peak processing (spp), el modelo espectral de voz excitation plus residual (epr), y un modelo basado en la concatenaci\u00f3n de muestras.
