Partiendo de una parcelaci\u00f3n cronol\u00f3gica y gen\u00e9rica que atiende en primer lugar a su etapa de retiro (antequera 1606-1611; archidona 1611-1615) como categor\u00eda espacio-temporal que motiva un tipo de escritura \u00edntima y exaltada, el an\u00e1lisis filol\u00f3gico se ampl\u00eda a la inclusi\u00f3n de dos piezas posteriores que, sin embargo, contin\u00faan la estela trazada por los dos tipos de composiciones que cultiv\u00f3 su madurez po\u00e9tica siendo eremita: la ep\u00edstola i y el salmo del amor a dios. A partir de un exhaustivo ahondamiento ret\u00f3rico se hace evidente que existe un salto cualitativo no solo entre la exuberancia ornamental y al calculada disposici\u00f3n tem\u00e1tica del mamierismo inicial (pr\u00f3ximos est\u00e1n en esta l\u00ednea el salmo al a perfecci\u00f3n de la naturaleza y el salmo pidiendo la venida de dios al alma de poeta), sino en relaci\u00f3n a las dos piezas espirituales que sobresalen en el amplio horizonte espinosiano de la poes\u00eda laudatoria.  la ep\u00edstola ii a heliodoro nada conserva ya de la intimidad conversacional y la perfecci\u00f3n est\u00e9tica de la i; perdiendo el referente cristiano que impulsaba la pasi\u00f3n cat\u00e1rtica y la invitaci\u00f3n a los goces de la soledad, y el heliodoro dela ii no es m\u00e1s que un pretexto el cultivo bajo el que se suscribe una \u00e1cida cr\u00edtica al viciada corrupci\u00f3n de la vida cortesana. M\u00e1s que una llamada l\u00edrica la goce de la naturaleza, las octavas se convierten en una pormenorizada preparaci\u00f3n moral, seg\u00fan los c\u00e1nones de la filosof\u00eda estoica, para la formaci\u00f3n del perfecto principie. por otra parte el salmo de penitencia ya no es el canto l\u00edrico y exaltado de sus primeros salmos: la yuxtaposici\u00f3n, el estilo nominal y asind\u00e9tico han sido sustituidos por un tono prosaico que estanca la verso en un ritmo que lo va aproximando paulativamente a la linealidad de la prosa.
