El m\u00e9todo de preparaci\u00f3n de los geles influye, tanto sobre la cin\u00e9tica de fotopolimerizaci\u00f3n, como sobre sus propiedades.  se demostr\u00f3 que la quitosana es capaz de actuar como coiniciador de la fotopolimerizaci\u00f3n mediante la donaci\u00f3n de los protones del grupo amino presente en su estructura. Se ha logrado obtener una nueva familia de composites biodegradables y fotopolimerizables, a partir de es tos geles de \u00e1cido acr\u00edlico y quitosana utilizando como relleno hidroxiapatita, de potencial aplicaci\u00f3n como rellenos \u00f3seos. Del conjunto de estos resultados se demuestran el potencial inter\u00e9s aplicado de los materiales y sistemas desarrollados en este trabajo, por lo que la conveniencia de llevar a acabo su evaluaci\u00f3n precl\u00ednica y cl\u00ednica \u00abin vitro\u00bb e \u00abin vivo\u00bb queda suficientemente justificada con el fin de establecer sus posibilidades de aplicaci\u00f3n
