Se han desarrollado dos procedimientos para la cuantificaci\u00f3n de la apo a-i, un m\u00e9todo inmunoqu\u00edmico (inmunodifusi\u00f3nradial) y otro inmunoenzim\u00e1tico, un elisa. Este \u00faltimo, tipo sandwich, permite determinar la prote\u00edna en un rango de 0,06-0,98p.G\/ml, con un coeficiente de variaci\u00f3n interno y externo de 6-10%. Se ha determinado la concentraci\u00f3n s\u00e9rica de apo a-i en cerdossometidos a inflamaci\u00f3n e infecciones bacterianas y v\u00edricas experimentales. En todos los casos, a los pocos d\u00edas del estimulo, laconcentraci\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna cae hasta valores comprendidos entre un medio y un d\u00e9cimo de su concentraci\u00f3n inicial. La variaci\u00f3n delos niveles de la prote\u00edna muestran correlaci\u00f3n con la sintomatolog\u00eda cl\u00ednica de los cerdos y con los aumentos de las prote\u00ednas de faseaguda positivas haptoglobina, prote\u00edna c reactiva y principalmente con los de la prote\u00edna pig-map (pig major acute-phase protein).La concentraci\u00f3n de apo a-i tambi\u00e9n disminuye en distintas situaciones que provocan estr\u00e9s durante la producci\u00f3n porcina como eltransporte de larga duraci\u00f3n, el cambio del r\u00e9gimen de alimentaci\u00f3n y en cerdas tras el parto. Los resultados obtenidos demuestranque la apo a-i se comporta como una excelente prote\u00edna de fase aguda negativa y su medida puede ser de utilidad como criterio desalud y bienestar animal en granjas. Adem\u00e1s se ha realizado un estudio prote\u00f3mico por electroforesis bidimensional de las distintasfracciones de lipoprote\u00ednas s\u00e9ricas porcinas en cerdos con trasplante de p\u00e1ncreas. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que las mayoresdiferencias se aprecian en la fracci\u00f3n hdl2, con una disminuci\u00f3n muy acusada de apo a-i y un aumento del amiloide a s\u00e9rico.Otras
