Habituados a herbicidas inhibidores de la s\u00edntesis de celulosa con el objeto de estudiar la plasticidad, as\u00ed como la din\u00e1mica y estructura de la pared celular. Para ello se han utilizado numerosas t\u00e9cnicas bioqu\u00edmicas, inmunol\u00f3gicas, de microscop\u00eda, etc. Mediante la monitorizaci\u00f3n de la habituaci\u00f3n a diclobenil de callos de alubia mediante espectroscop\u00eda ftir asociada a an\u00e1lisis multivariante se revel\u00f3 la existencia de tres niveles diferentes de habituaci\u00f3n (bajo, medio y alto) y que los cambios producidos por la habituaci\u00f3n depend\u00edan de la concentraci\u00f3n del inhibidor y del tiempo que las c\u00e9lulas crecieron en esa concentraci\u00f3n. El estudio de la actividad xiloglucano endotransglucosilasa (xet) en c\u00e9lulas habituadas a diclobenil mostr\u00f3 una mayor actividad en las c\u00e9lulas habituadas, junto con un xiloglucano de menor masa molecular; esto podr\u00eda indicar que la mayor actividad xet funcionar\u00eda reforzando la pared celular, debilitada por presentar un menor contenido en celulosa. La habituaci\u00f3n a diclobenil y posterior deshabituaci\u00f3n (subcultivo de las c\u00e9lulas habituadas en ausencia de diclobenil) provoc\u00f3 asimismo cambios en la masa molecular y estructura del xiloglucano, estudiados mediante la purificaci\u00f3n y estudio de dicha hemicelulosa procedente de c\u00e9lulas no habituadas, habituadas y deshabituadas. Purificaci\u00f3n y caracterizaci\u00f3n de un \u00edY-1,4-glucano soluble a partir de c\u00e9lulas deshabituadas a diclobenil; este glucano present\u00f3 una masa molecular media de 10 kda y uno o varios radicales acetilo en los residuos de glucosa, que posibilitar\u00edan su mayor solubilidad.
