Las conocidas f\u00f3rmulas gaussianas basan su construcci\u00f3n en integrar exactamente polinomios con el mayor grado posible y han motivado la construcci\u00f3n de f\u00f3rmulas alternativas para aquellas situaciones donde el uso de polinomios no es el m\u00e1s adecuado. surge asi pues la teor\u00eda de funciones ortogonales racionales. Existe una situaci\u00f3n muy gen\u00e9rica que parece el primer paso a dar: cuando fijamos un polo en el infinito y otro finito que por simplicidad consideramos el origen. Surge as\u00ed pues la teor\u00eda de polinomios de laurent ortogonales y en este punto es donde precisamente arranca esta tesis doctoral, con un doble objetivo: por un lado, unificar la teor\u00eda de los sistemas bi-ortogonales de polinomios trigonom\u00e9tricos introducidos por g\u00e1bor szeg\u00ed\u00b6 en 1963 como herramienta fundamental en la construcci\u00f3n de las llamadas f\u00f3rmulas de cuadratura con el m\u00e1ximo grado de precisi\u00f3n trigonom\u00e9trico, y por otro lado, poner de manfiesto que las sucesiones de polilnomios de laurent ortogonales en la circunferencia unidad son la clave en el estudio y dise\u00f1o de tales f\u00f3rmulas de cuadratura, conocidas como f\u00f3rmulas de szeg\u00ed\u00b6 . Se establece adem\u00e1s un estudio de las familias de polinomios de laurent que permitir\u00e1 conectar con la recientemente bautizada teor\u00eda cmv cuando tal ordenamiento sea
