Con este objetivo ha sido aplicado un an\u00e1lisis multivariante para identificar lasdiferencias existentes entre las caracter\u00edsticas de las firmas con dos o m\u00e1s mujeres en sus consejos y compa\u00f1\u00edas sin presenciafemenina. Al mismo tiempo han sido investigadas las variables predictoras del valor de las empresas utilizando para ello medidascontables y de mercado.Palabras clave: consejos de administraci\u00f3n, gobierno corporativo, g\u00e9nero, rentabilidadabstract:this thesis presents a study of the determining factors in order to predict the gender composition of boards of large spanishcompanies. For this purpose, a multivariate analysis is performed to identify the existing differences between the characteristics offirms with two or more women directors on their boards and companies with no female directors.
