Asimismo, el aprovechamientoenerg\u00e9tico de la biomasa (principalmente por procesos termogn\u00edmicos) puede reducir las emisiones de otros contaminantes, entreellos los \u00f3xidos de nitr\u00f3geno. En los procesos termoqu\u00edmicos hay una etapa inicial en la que la biomasa sufre una devolatilizaci\u00f3n, lacual provoca la liberaci\u00f3n de vol\u00e1tiles y la formaci\u00f3n de un s\u00f3lido carbonoso denominado char. Para mejorar la eficiencia de lossistemas de combusti\u00f3n, es importante el conocimiento de los procesos homog\u00e9neos y heterog\u00e9neos que rigen el proceso global decombusti\u00f3n. Este trabajo se centra en los procesos heterog\u00e9neos.El objetivo principal de este trabajo es preparar y caracterizar chars de diferentes caracter\u00edsticas por pir\u00f3lisis de distintos tipos debiomasa y estudiar la reactividad en diferentes atm\u00f3sferas de algunos s\u00f3lidos carbonosos seleccionados.Entre los distintos tipos de biomasa existentes, se han seleccionado dos materiales de partida de diferentes caracter\u00edsticas: cascarillade arroz y eucalipto. Para obtener s\u00f3lidos carbonosos de diferentes propiedades, a partir de los dos tipos de biomasa considerados, sehan utilizado dos instalaciones de pir\u00f3lisis distintas. Estas instalaciones han permitido realizar la descomposici\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica delmaterial biom\u00e1sico, en atm\u00f3sfera inerte, a baja velocidad de calentamiento (aproximadamente 10 \u00c2\u00b0c\/min) en un reactor de lecho fijo(instalaci\u00f3n de pir\u00f3lisis bv), y a alta velocidad de calentamiento en un reactor de lecho fluidizado (instalaci\u00f3n de pir\u00f3lisis av), ypara diferentes temperaturas finales de pir\u00f3lisis. Los s\u00f3lidos carbonosos resultantes de la descomposici\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica de la cascarilla dearroz y del eucalipto fueron caracterizados mediante diferentes t\u00e9cnicas (an\u00e1lisis
