M\u00e1s a\u00fan, esta velocidad puede incrementarse en capas de nitruro sobre substratos apropiados.  Se requiere para ello una caracterizaci\u00f3n detallada de la dispersi\u00f3n de las propiedades de la saw en el sistema laminado en particular. Adem\u00e1s, el gap ancho y directo de los nitruros permite desarrollar interesantes aplicaciones explotando la modulaci\u00f3n de los bordes de la bandas de energ\u00eda inducida por los campos de la saw. No obstante, esta excepcional sinergia apenas ha sido estudiada.    esta tesis presenta la caracterizaci\u00f3n de las diferentes saws y pseudo-saws (psaws) que se propagan en las capas de gan y aln crecidas en distintos substratos, as\u00ed como el estudio de la interacci\u00f3n de estas ondas con la luz y los portadores en estructuras basadas en gan. Esta interacci\u00f3n se ha aplicado en este trabajo a la fabricaci\u00f3n de fotodetectores asistidos por saws y dispositivos saw modulados por efecto de campo.  se han caracterizado experimentalmente la dispersion y la polarizaci\u00f3n del espectro de modos ac\u00fasticos de superficie en los sistemas de gan y aln sobre zafiro(0001) y 6h-sic(0001), y comparado los resultados con simulaciones num\u00e9ricas. En la estructura de gan\/zafiro, la menor velocidad de propagaci\u00f3n en el nitruro que en el substrato permite la aparici\u00f3n junto con el modo rayleigh de modos sezawa y love, confinados en la epicapa. Por el contrario, en la estructura de aln\/zafiro, con mayor velocidad de propagaci\u00f3n en el nitruro que en el substrato, \u00fanicamente aparece el modo rayleigh. Se ha demostrado c\u00f3mo la simetr\u00eda trigonal del zafiro no s\u00f3lo genera la propagaci\u00f3n anis\u00f3tropa de las saws en las heteroestructuras, a pesar de la
