La agarosa es un pol\u00edmero natural, muy abundante, obtenido a partir de algas marinas, que forma geles f\u00edsicos en agua. Los geles de agarosa no se hinchan en agua, tienen m\u00f3dulos el\u00e1sticos altos y funden con la temperatura para formar disoluciones homog\u00e9neas, que pueden volver a gelificar por enfriamiento. Los geles de agarosa son utilizados en aplicaciones que van desde la industria de la alimentaci\u00f3n, como espesantes, a las aplicaciones en electroferesis capilar para separaci\u00f3n, por ejemplo, de mol\u00e9culas de adn. La poliacrilamida, por su parte, forma geles qu\u00edmicos, con valores de m\u00f3dulo relativamente bajos, fr\u00e1giles, con gran capacidad para hincharse en agua y con respuesta a est\u00edmulos como la temperatura o el ph. Las aplicaciones de los geles de poliacrilamida van desde su utilizaci\u00f3n como geles superabsorbentes, en agricultura, hasta aplicaciones en medicina y biolog\u00eda como sistemas de encapsulaci\u00f3n de enzimas, medicamentos, etc.  el objetivo fundamental de esta memoria es el desarrollo de geles polim\u00e9ricos con propiedades intermedias entre las de los geles de agarosa y los de poliacrilamida. Sistemas que, por ejemplo, presenten un alto m\u00f3dulo el\u00e1stico, se hinchen en agua sin perder su consistencia mec\u00e1nica y sean sensibles a cambios en temperatura o ph; que permitan, adem\u00e1s el desarrollo de aplicaciones tales como la preparaci\u00f3n de sistemas magnetopolim\u00e9ricos, biorreactores y otras.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
