Este peptido aparece en intestino, pancreas y cerebro. La presencia de sitios de union para el glp-j (7-36) amida en cerebro parece indicar que este peptido y su receptor desarrollan un papel neurotransmisor o neuromodulador en el sistema nervioso central. El objetivo del presente trabajo ha sido caracterizar el receptor para glp-j (7- 36) amida en cerebro de rata, y sus interacciones con el sistema transmisor mediado por aminiacidos acidicos. Los resultados obtenidos fueron: a) los receptores para glp-j (7-36) nh2 en el sistema nervioso central de rata se localizan en hipotalamo, talamo, tronco del encefalo e hipofisis; b) el receptor de glp-j (7-36) amida en hipotalamo y tronco del encefalo presenta sitios de union de baja y alta afinidad, y se trata de una glicoproteina, de 49n kda, con grupos b, 4-n-acetil-d-glucosamina; c) la perfusion intracerebral del hipotalamo sentromedial con glp-j (7-36) amida produce una liberacion selectiva de acido espartico y glutamina al medio extracelular.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
