Ello explica la gran variedad de m\u00e9todos de medida propuestos, pues las exigencias peden ser muy distintas seg\u00fan el campo de aplicaci\u00f3n. Una gran parte de los m\u00e9todos de medida de impedancia el\u00e9ctrica utilizados actualmente, se basan en se\u00f1ales sinusoidales, y algunos en se\u00f1ales cuadradas y an\u00e1lisis espectral. Los m\u00e9todos que permiten extraer mucha informaci\u00f3n de la impedancia medida, es decir, que permiten determinar varios elementos que describen su comportamiento con la frecuencia, son relativamente complejos, y por ello son poco adecuados para instrumentos de medida port\u00e1tiles o peque\u00f1os. En esta tesis se plantea un m\u00e9todo alternativo de medida de impedancia el\u00e9ctrica, v\u00e1lido tambi\u00e9n cuando \u00e9sta se modela con una red el\u00e9ctrica formada por la interconexi\u00f3n de varios elementos simples.  las caracter\u00edsticas principales del nuevo m\u00e9todo son: 1) la generaci\u00f3n de las se\u00f1ales es muys sencilla, lo cual minimiza la complejidad del hardware; 2) el m\u00e9todo permite medir impedancias modeladas con m\u00faltiples elementos (se ha demostrado para tres elementos, incluyendo uno de fase constante); y 3) requiere una potencia de c\u00e1lculo m\u00ednima, lo que conlleva que el software necesario sea tambi\u00e9n m\u00ednimo. Las se\u00f1ales de excitaci\u00f3n propuestas son digitales, pues son f\u00e1ciles de generar porque tienen un conjunto finito de niveles de amplitud. Estas se\u00f1ales contienen m\u00faltiples arm\u00f3nicos, por lo que con ellas se pued extraer informaci\u00f3n de m\u00faltiples componentes de la impedancia. El m\u00e9todo propuesto se basa en aplicar una se\u00f1al digital de tensi\u00f3n y medir la corriente del a impedancia en tantos instantes de tiempo diferentes, como inc\u00f3gnitas (p) tiene el modelo de la impedancia.
