Los modelos mencionados incluyen las transformaciones m\u00e1s relevantes de cada uno de los procesos as\u00ed como las principales limitaciones de los mismos. La metodolog\u00eda de las fracciones m\u00e1sicas elementales utilizada para el desarrollo de los modelos, facilita la descripci\u00f3n completa de las mezclas de residuos a la vez que garantiza los balances de masa y carga el\u00e9ctrica en todas las transformaciones del modelo. As\u00ed, la evoluci\u00f3n de los componentes del modelo en funci\u00f3n del tiempo es consecuencia de las transformaciones y de los flujos m\u00e1sicos de entrada y salida al reactor. Asimismo, los balances carga el\u00e9ctrica y energ\u00eda incluidos en los modelos permiten el c\u00e1lculo de la evoluci\u00f3n del ph y de la temperatura del sistema. Posteriormente se presentan los resultados obtenidos en las distintas etapas del proyecto que son de inter\u00e9s en la presente tesis. El an\u00e1lisis experimental de las tecnolog\u00edas de compostaje, digesti\u00f3n anaerobia seca y del proceso combinado, ha proporcionado la informaci\u00f3n necesaria para la verificaci\u00f3n de los modelos propuestos. En el caso del compostaje se ha efectuado la calibraci\u00f3n de los par\u00e1metros cin\u00e9ticos m\u00e1s relevantes del proceso en base a simulaciones de monte cario. Luego, el modelo se ha validado experimentalmente obteniendo resultados satisfactorios. Para el modelo de digesti\u00f3n anaerobia seca se ha efectuado una verificaci\u00f3n experimental en base a par\u00e1metros obtenidos de bibliograf\u00eda puesto que la complejidad del proceso hace inviable el uso de t\u00e9cnicas de calibraci\u00f3n basadas en incertidumbre. Los modelos desarrollados en este trabajo, una vez verificada su capacidad predictiva han sido utilizados para   realizar una serie de exploraciones por simulaci\u00f3n. De este modo se ha demostrado la utilidad de los modelos matem\u00e1ticos para el dise\u00f1o de tratamientos unitarios o combinados en funci\u00f3n de las caracter\u00edsticas de las mezclas de residuos a tratar. Finalmente, los anexos a la memoria presentan una breve rese\u00f1a de los fundamentos te\u00f3ricos utilizados para el desarrollo de los modelos as\u00ed como de las t\u00e9cnicas de calibraci\u00f3n empleadas.  the main objective of this report is the development and experimental verification of two new mathematical models for the dynamic description of the composting and dry anaerobic digesti\u00f3n systems behaviour. These mathematical models include the more relevant mechanisms and kinetics limitations for both processes.I_ikewise, these models have been developed based on the elemental mass fraction methodology that enables the description of different mixtures of solid wastes as soon as guaranteed closed mass and charge balances for the entire model transformations. Thus, the evolution of model components can be described as a consequence of the model transformation and the mass fluxes among the system. Al so, the charge and energy balances enable the dynamic prediction of the system ph and temperature evolution. Subsequently, both models experimental verification are presented in the report. Particularly, composting model has been calibrated using uncertainty likelihood metnods. Then, this model has been satisfactory validated based on experimental data. On the other hand, dry anaerobic digesti\u00f3n model has also been experimentally verificated based on bibliography parameter val\u00faes. After that, calibrated models have been employed to drive a simulation exploration analysis in order to dem\u00f3nstrate the model usefulness for process design, control and optimization.
