Esta tesis presenta piana (protein interactions and network analysis), un programa inform\u00e1tico para la integraci\u00f3n y el an\u00e1lisis de redes de interacci\u00f3n proteicas. Adem\u00e1s, describimos un m\u00e9todo que identifica motivos de interacci\u00f3n bas\u00e1ndose en que las prote\u00ednas con parejas de interacci\u00f3n comunes tienden a interaccionar con esas parejas a trav\u00e9s del mismo motivo de interacci\u00f3n.  Encontramos que las prote\u00ednas altamente conectadas (i.E., Hubs) con m\u00faltiples motivos tienen mayor probabilidad de ser esenciales para la viabilidad de la c\u00e9lula que los hubs con uno o dos motivos. Finalmente, presentamos un m\u00e9todo que predice genes relacionados con c\u00e1ncer mediante la integraci\u00f3n de redes de interacci\u00f3n proteicas, datos de expresi\u00f3n diferenciada y propiedades estructurales, funcionales y evolutivas.
