Adem\u00e1s es ampliamente reconocido el hecho de que si se a\u00f1ade nueva informaci\u00f3n en el proceso de dise\u00f1o de un controlador, es posible mejorar el desempe\u00f1o del controlador obtenido. Esta es la filosof\u00eda existente detr\u00e1s del control adaptativo. Sin embargo el concepto de informaci\u00f3n referido al problema de dise\u00f1o de reguladores, si bien est\u00e1 muy extendido, no dispone de una formalizaci\u00f3n clara ni unificada al carecer de un marco conceptual.  en esta tesis se aborda el problema del dise\u00f1o de controladores desde un punto de visto de la informaci\u00f3n requerida para tal fin. Las aportaciones de la tesis se dividen en dos partes. en la primera parte el objetivo es caracterizar el concepto de informaci\u00f3n cuando hablamos del problema de dise\u00f1o de controladores, as\u00ed como analizar todas las fuentes de informaci\u00f3n disponibles. Esto se consigue mediante el desarrollo de un marco conceptual en el cual se pueden establecer relaciones fundamentales necesarias para aumentar la informaci\u00f3n de los elementos del problema de control. En un segundo paso, dicho marco ya establecido se utiliza para analizar y comparar las t\u00e9cnicas del control adaptativo cl\u00e1sico con el control iterativo. El marco permite comparar ambas t\u00e9cnicas de dise\u00f1o de controladores en funci\u00f3n de la gesti\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n que cada una de ellas realiza, proporcionando as\u00ed un punto de referencia para comparar diversas maneras de gestionar la informaci\u00f3n para el dise\u00f1o de controladores. en la segunda parte de la tesis se aborda el problema de la validaci\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n existente en un modelo. El objetivo es ser capaz de validar un modelo de manera tal que el resultado de la validaci\u00f3n no sea simplemente un resultado binario de \u00abvalidado\/invalido\u00bb, si no que aporte
