Sus aplicaciones especiales buscando el aprovechamiento de esta propiedad han encontrado el problema de su sensibilizacion al agrietamiento por recalentamiento en uniones soldadas. En esta tesis doctoral se ha pretendido caracterizar las transformaciones microestructurales relacionadas con esta problematica, y se han comparado los resultados obtenidos en soldaduras simuladas experimentalmente con los proporcionados por un modelo fisico-matematico simplificado que se ha desarrollado; basado en ecuaciones basicas de transferencia de calor y difusion en la zona afectada por el calor en uniones soldadas.
