Inicialmente buscamos resistencia en distintas especies de pimiento a este pat\u00f3geno, ya que en galicia el pimiento de padr\u00f3n es una variedad de elevado inter\u00e9s econ\u00f3mico. Utilizando la t\u00e9cnica de pcr cuantitativa en tiempo real, encontramos una clara correspondencia entre los s\u00edntomas mostrados por los distintos cultivares de pimiento analizados y el contenido en dna del pat\u00f3geno en relaci\u00f3n al dna de la planta, pero no encontramos resistencia al pat\u00f3geno. Por este motivo se evalu\u00f3 la resistencia a v. Dahliae en dos l\u00edneas isog\u00e9nicas de lycopersicon esculentum cv. Gardener, la 3030 y la 3038. Los resultados mostraron que en la l\u00ednea resistente la 3038, que contiene el gen ve que confiere resistencia a v. Dahliae, el pat\u00f3geno estaba presente pero el contenido de dna del pat\u00f3geno era significativamente menor que en la variedad susceptible y decrec\u00eda con el tiempo. al no disponer de variedades resistentes de pimiento, la respuesta de resistencia frente a este pat\u00f3geno se llev\u00f3 a cabo analizando el comportamiento de ambas l\u00edneas de tomate al ser inoculadas con v. Dahliae.  Para llevar a cabo el siguiente objetivo de nuestro trabajo se midieron las posibles variaciones en el contenido en h2o2 y las actividades enzim\u00e1ticas fenilalanina amonio liasa (pal) y peroxidasa (pod). Ambas enzimas se han considerado clave en el desarrollo de la resistencia contra pat\u00f3genos y su acci\u00f3n coordinada tiene como resultado cambios en las cantidades relativas de los compuestos fenilpropanoides, apreciados en s\u00ed mismos como compuestos de defensa.  los resultados mostraron una correspondencia temporal entre el aumento del contenido en h2o2 con el de las actividades enzim\u00e1ticas pal y pod, como resultado de la interacci\u00f3n tomate-v. Dahliae en ra\u00edces de tomate resistente.
