Utilizando cultivos celulares de endotelio humano o sangre entera humana, comprobamos que ang-ii induce la s\u00edntesis de agentes quimot\u00e1cticos de leucocitos mononucleares como mcp-1, eotaxina-3, mip-1alfa, rantes y mcp-3; la mayor\u00eda de estas respuestas est\u00e1n mediadas por el receptor at1 de ang-ii, puesto que son inhibidas por el antagonista selectivo del mismo, el losart\u00e1n. en una segunda parte, demostramos por primera vez que tnfalfa e il-4 cooperan para promover la adhesi\u00f3n selectiva de c\u00e9lulas mononucleares al endotelio arteriolar en respuesta a ang-ii. La neutralizaci\u00f3n de la actividad de tnfalfa inhibe la acumulaci\u00f3n de leucocitos mononucleares en la cavidad peritoneal y la s\u00edntesis y liberaci\u00f3n de quimiocinas cc que pueden amplificar la cascada inflamatoria producida por el p\u00e9ptido. as\u00ed, podemos sugerir que el antagonismo de los receptores ccr1, ccr2 o ccr5, sobre los que act\u00faan las quimiocinas cc detectadas, as\u00ed como el antagonismo del receptor de tnfalfa, quiz\u00e1 constituyan una importante herramienta farmacol\u00f3gica para el control de la adhesi\u00f3n y migraci\u00f3n de leucocitos mononucleares al espacio subendotelial arterial, paso cr\u00edtico en el desarrollo de diversas patolog\u00edas cardiovasculares en las que se ha implicado a
