El trabajo define un esquema general para la optimizaci\u00f3n monoobjetivo (coste econ\u00f3mico) y multiobjetivo de estas estructuras que es aplicado a p\u00f3rticos planos con un m\u00e1ximo de 153 variables. Entre ellas figuran seis calidades diferentes de hormig\u00f3n.  para minimizar el coste econ\u00f3mico se prueban cinco m\u00e9todos heur\u00edsticos: una estrategia de saltos m\u00faltiples aleatorios (rw), el gradiente first best (fb), la cristalizaci\u00f3n simulada (sa), la aceptaci\u00f3n por umbrales (ta) y los algoritmos gen\u00e9ticos (ga). Estas t\u00e9cnicas se utilizan en una primera fase para optimizar un p\u00f3rtico de dos vanos y cuatro plantas sometido a acciones verticales y horizontables. La versi\u00f3n desarrollada de sa proporciona el dise\u00f1o de mayor calidad, cuyo coste es de 3473.06 \u00c2\u00bf. Los mejores proyectos obtenidos mediante las variantes creadas de ta, fb, ga y rw tienen costes m\u00ednimos superiores en un 0.52%, 5.74%, 8.69% y un 124.6% respectivamente. Por estos motivos se elige sa para, en una segunda fase, optimizar econ\u00f3micamente otros p\u00f3rticos de dos vanos y dos, seis y ocho plantas.  los resultados obtenidos permiten proponer reglas para el predimensionamiento de las estructuras optimizadas y automatizar la elecci\u00f3n de los par\u00e1metros del algoritmo sa, lo que evita largos procesos de ensayo y error. Se comprueba que los estados l\u00edmites habitualmente empleados en el dise\u00f1o de esta tipolog\u00eda estructural son tambi\u00e9n suficientes para comprobar la seguridad de las estructuras optimizadas.  asimismo se investiga la repercusi\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica del empleo de un \u00fanico tipo de hormig\u00f3n (un ha-25 con resistencia de proyecto a compresi\u00f3n igual a 25 mpa) y de la utilizaci\u00f3n de vigas planas en lugar de descolgadas.
