Complejos cati\u00f3nicos pentacoordinados [ir(?2-c2h4)2( 3-n,n,n-r-pybox)][y] (y = sbf6 o  pf6) y tetracoordinados [ir(co)( 3-n,n,n-r-pybox)][y] (y = sbf6 o  pf6) se han sintetizado a partir de [ir(?-Cl)(coe)2]2. Complejos, neutros y cati\u00f3nicos, mono- y bimet\u00e1licos, se obtienen por reacci\u00f3n de [ir(?-Cl)(coe)2]2 con pybox y distintas sales. Se describe la preparaci\u00f3n y caracterizaci\u00f3n de los complejos [iri( 3-n,n,n-ipr-pybox)], [ir2(?-Cl)( 3-n,n,n-r-pybox)2][sbf6] y [{ir( 3-n,n,n-ipr-pybox)(?-Cl)}ag][sbf6]. En este cap\u00edtulo, se estudia tambi\u00e9n la reactividad del complejo [ir(?2-c2h4)2( 3-n,n,n-ipr-pybox)][pf6] frente a alquinos. Su reacci\u00f3n frente a dmad genera el complejo [ir(?2-meo2cc?Cco2me)2( 3-n,n,n-ipr-pybox)][pf6], mientras que las reacciones frente alquinos terminales, como propiolato de etilo o metilo, dan lugar a un in\u00e9dito proceso de acoplamiento entre \u00e9stos y el propio ligando pybox. en el cap\u00edtulo 2 se describe la s\u00edntesis y reactividad de complejos de iridio(iii) con ligandos r-pybox (r = ipr-, ph- o in-pybox). Complejos neutros [ircl3( 3-n,n,n-r-pybox)] se han preparado por reacci\u00f3n de [ir(?-Cl)(coe)2]2, pybox y cl2 y complejos cati\u00f3nicos mediante reacciones de adici\u00f3n oxidante estereoselectivas sobre algunos complejos iridio(i)-pybox descritos en el cap\u00edtulo anterior. Se describe la preparaci\u00f3n de complejos [iri2l( 3-n,n,n-r-pybox)][pf6] (l = c2h4, co), [irxr(?2-c2h4)( 3-n,n,n-r-pybox)][pf6] o [irxr(co)( 3-n,n,n-r-pybox)][pf6] (x = i, cl; r = h, alquilo, acilo, alilo). Destaca la s\u00edntesis de complejos alilo e hidruro en condiciones suaves.
