Diferentes actividades de los enzimas que act\u00faan en el metabolismo oxidativo del estradiol  (cyp y  comt) y en el balance redox (sod, gst, nqo1, pon1) alteran los niveles de estr\u00f3genos y de ros. Las variantes al\u00e9licas de genes tanto antioxidantes como implicados en el metabolismo de los estr\u00f3genos podr\u00edan contribuir al componente gen\u00e9tico que origina las diferencias interindividuales en la respuesta a la terapia fiv. El objetivo de esta tesis es establecer la relaci\u00f3n de los polimorfismos de genes implicados en el metabolismo estrog\u00e9nico y el bance redox con la producci\u00f3n de ros y su posible implicaci\u00f3n en el \u00e9xito de la fiv.  de los resultados obtenidos podemos extraer las siguientes conclusiones: a) las portadoras del genotipo gc del polimorfismo rs 165599 del gen comt tiene mayor probabilidad de ser subf\u00e9rtiles; b) el tratamiento fiv conducente a la estimulaci\u00f3n ov\u00e1rica provoca un estr\u00e9s oxidativo que es detectable en el suero. Las portadoras de las variantes al\u00e9licas a del polimorfismo rs752551 del gen cypla2, h del plimorfismo rs4680 del gen comt y a del polimorfismo rs2075507 del gen comt son m\u00e1s susceptibles a estos cambios redox del suero; c) ninguno de los marcadores del estado redox del suero analizados discrimina entre el grupo de mujeres que logran el embarazo y el que no lo consigue; d) las portadoras del genotipo ala\/ala del polimorfismo rs7880 del gen sod2 tiene mayor probabilidad de quedar embarazadas despu\u00e9s de un ciclo fiv y e) los polimorfismos de los genes cyp1b1, cyp3a4, comt, gstml,
