La tesis pone \u00e9nfasis en los aspectos ontol\u00f3gico-est\u00e9ticos derivados de una consideraci\u00f3n infinita del tiempo (eternidad temporal); en las implicaciones para la filosof\u00eda y el arte que a partir de esa visi\u00f3n se desarrollan. El estudio parte de la postura de henry bergson y gilbert durand, en los que se puede encontrar la premisa de que la imaginaci\u00f3n (y a partir de ella la acci\u00f3n humana) es una revuelta (eufemizaci\u00f3n) contra el paso del tiempo, devenir temporal que se entiende en una doble dimensi\u00f3n, como ai\u00f3n (tiempo de la vida, o dur\u00e9e) y tiempo mesurable (chronos) y su relaci\u00f3n con el impulso (\u00e9lan) vital: a partir de entonces aparecen las obras filos\u00f3ficas de schopenhauer y nietzsche, as\u00ed como el discurso literario de borges como discursos en los que, a partir de la noci\u00f3n de eterno retorno, se pone en crisis la idea de una raz\u00f3n que intenta suprimir o dominar el tiempo, pero tambi\u00e9n se postula el car\u00e1cter artificial del tiempo cronol\u00f3gico. Con este prop\u00f3sito, primero se aborda la noci\u00f3n de eternidad iterativa bajo las determinaciones de el mundo como voluntad y representaci\u00f3n y el lugar del arte como espacio propicio para la comprensi\u00f3n de la doctrina del eterno retorno en arthur schopenhauer. A partir del marco general del pensamiento schopenhaueriano, y en especial de su est\u00e9tica, se intenta una relectura de la obra de nietzsche, contrastada siempre con la obra de schopenhauer, para intentar encontrar diferencias y similitudes entre el pensamiento pesimista y el tr\u00e1gico, y su punto de uni\u00f3n en la idea del instante (augenblick), eternidad juvenil y el hoy eterno. En jorge luis borges se estudia tambi\u00e9n la influencia de la obra de schopenhauer en sus trabajos ensay\u00edsticos, narrativos y po\u00e9ticos, en donde la noci\u00f3n de eternidad se modula como
