La\u00edn ha buscado sus ra\u00edces antropol\u00f3gicas, ha indagado en las distintas comprensiones hist\u00f3ricas y ha logrado entresacar los aspectos antropol\u00f3gicos, \u00e9tico e incluso teol\u00f3gicos subyacentes a esta dimensi\u00f3n humana.     la esperanza puede ser estudiada como pasi\u00f3n animal, como virtud natural y como virtud teologal. Pero la\u00edn, lejos de establecer comportamientos estancos, ha preferido mostrar la vecindad entre ellas. De esta manera nos ha ense\u00f1ado que la virtud natural hunde sus ra\u00edces en la pasi\u00f3n animal y que la esperanza teologal adquiere una mejor comprensi\u00f3n desde la esperanza natural.     tres son los cometidos que articulan la tesis:     1,- aportar una sinopsis de la teor\u00eda elpidol\u00f3gica de la\u00edn para hallar los cambios acaecidos en dicha teor\u00eda desde sus primeras formulaciones hasta sus \u00faltimas obras. Pondremos de manifiesto tambi\u00e9n aquellas tesis primordiales que, no solo no cambian, sino que son el hilo conductor de su pensamiento esperanzado. En esta la novedad m\u00e1s importante dado que no existe une estudio amplio de la influencia del cambio de paradigma antropol\u00f3gico en su visi\u00f3n sobre la esperanza. Parte esencial dentro de este objetivo es la plasmaci\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica de su antropolog\u00eda de la esperanza y el an\u00e1lisis de las fuentes en las que bebe la\u00edn, es decir, aquellos autores que asume o con los que se confronta el propio la\u00edn. Los cap\u00edtulos 2,3,5 y 11 dan buena cuenta de ello. El m\u00e9todo utilizado ha sido la ordenaci\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica de la antropolog\u00eda de la esperanza de la\u00edn, mediante un estudio a la par sincr\u00f3nica y diacr\u00f3nico.     2,- mostrar la aportaci\u00f3n a la pregunta sobre el sentido de la vida humana presente en la elpidolog\u00eda lainiana.
