La p\u00e9rdida de adhesi\u00f3n celular, la reorganizaci\u00f3n del citoesqueleto y la adquisici\u00f3n de propiedades migratorias son eventos celulares clave en este proceso. La p\u00e9rdida de expresi\u00f3n de cadherina-e constituye uno de los mecanismos determinantes  de la tem. En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, se han caracterizado varios factores, entre ellos, snail, slug y e47, implicados en la represi\u00f3n transcripcional del gen de la cadherina-e y en la inducci\u00f3n de tem que tiene lugar asociada a la adquisici\u00f3n del fenotipo invasivo en c\u00e9lulas mdck y otros sistemas. Estudios previos del patr\u00f3n de expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica diferencial  han permitido identificar un n\u00famero de genes cuya expresi\u00f3n est\u00e1 alterada en c\u00e9lulas mdck que expresan establemente los factores snail, slug o e47. Dentro de \u00e9stos, el factor de transcripci\u00f3n asociado a microftalmia (mitf), se encontr\u00f3 fuertemente reprimido de forma com\u00fan por los tres factores, por lo que nos plantemos el estudio de su implicaci\u00f3n en la regulaci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n de cadherina-e y en el proceso de tem. mitf es un gen que codifica para el factor de transcripci\u00f3n de la familia bhlh clase iii, implicado en desarrollo embrionario y esencial para la regulaci\u00f3n del linaje celular. Existen nueve isoformas de mitf, las cuales comparten los dominios bhlh-lz y de transactivaci\u00f3n, pero difieren en el extremo aminoterminal que confiere distintas propiedades a cada isoforma. de todas las isoformas analizadas, s\u00f3lo la expresi\u00f3n de la isoforma mitf-h se encontr\u00f3 reprimida en las tres l\u00edneas celulares, mdck-snail, -slug y -e47 y en determinadas l\u00edneas tumorales humanas. Sin embargo, los resultados obtenidos tras la expresi\u00f3n transitoria de los tres factores en c\u00e9lulas mdck sugieren, que \u00fanicamente el factor e47 y otro miembro de la familia bhlh (e2-2a)
