Este p\u00e9ptido se ha funcionalizado con motivos biol\u00f3gicamente activos procedentes de prote\u00ednas de la matriz extracelular incluyendo laminina-1 y col\u00e1geno iv. El scaffold pept\u00eddico autoensamblante rad16-i y sus derivados biol\u00f3gicamente activos se han caracterizado y probado utilizando diferentes sistemas celulares como puede ser c\u00e9lulas endoteliales de aorta humanas (haec), hepatocitos maduros y la l\u00ednea progenitora de h\u00edgado lig-8. La prote\u00f3lisis de este p\u00e9ptido se ha evaluado utilizando tripsina como enzima proteol\u00edtico, y los fragmentos resultantes se han analizado por maldi-tof y afm. Asimismo, la segunda generaci\u00f3n de biomateriales basados en el rad16-i se ha probado tanto con haec como hepatocitos maduros. Con estos sistemas hemos demostrado que el desarrollo de una matriz biomim\u00e9tica refuerza a la vez que mantiene las funciones espec\u00edficas de cada tejido. En particular, los resultados obtenidos en diferenciaci\u00f3n, proliferaci\u00f3n y mantenimiento de la funci\u00f3n celular utilizando los p\u00e9ptidos sint\u00e9ticos auto-ensamblantes son comparables con los resultados que se obtienen usando matrices biol\u00f3gicas (col\u00e1geno i y matrigel). Esto indica que nuestros an\u00e1logos de la matriz extracelular pueden reemplazar a los materiales naturales, y sugiere el uso de estos materiales inteligentes con capacidad instructiva en aplicaciones terap\u00e9uticas. Asimismo, se ha probado que el uso de estos p\u00e9ptidos auto-ensamblantes es eficiente en la construcci\u00f3n de un nicho de c\u00e9lulas madre.
