Els contaminants amb activitat biol\u00f3gica espec\u00edfica que interaccionen amb el metabolismo dels sistemas reguladors i\/o hormonals dels \u00e9ssers vius reben el nom general de xenobi\u00ed\u00b2tics. Donada la seva toxicitat potencial a baixes concentracions, \u00e9s fonamental desenvolupar les eines capaces de detectar les interaccions entre aquests xenpbi\u00f3tics i els receptors cel-lulars. Els biosassaigs basats en la utilitzaci\u00f3 de llevats modificats gen\u00e9ticament, tamb\u00e9 conegusts com a rya, han demostrat ser una eina excel-lent per a la detecci\u00f3 de xenobiotics. En aquest treball s\u00bbhan desevolupat i analitzat diferents versions de rya a fi d\u00bbinplementar un protocol automatitzable per a l\u00bbavaluaci\u00f3 i el control de i\u00bbimpacte ambiental causat per diferents xenobiotics. El rya s\u00bbha utilitzat per a correlacionar la presencia de xenobiotics amb activitats biologiques potencialment nocives en mostres ambientals i per a establir relacions entre l\u00bbestructura qu\u00edmica i l\u00bbafinitat de diferents compostos qu\u00edmics i del seus derivats per diferents receptors nuclears de vertebrats. Finalment, s\u00bbha realitzat un exercici d\u00bbintercalibraci\u00f3 del sistema rya per a la detecci\u00f3 d\u00bbestrogenicitat en mostres d\u00bbaigua a nivell europeu i s\u00bbha aplicat en la detecci\u00f3 de xenobiotics en mostres ambientals i en la monitoritzaci\u00f3 de metodes de tractament d\u00bbaig\u00ed\u00bces residuals.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
