Seg\u00fan los objetivos indicados en el plan de energ\u00edas renovables 2005-2010, en el a\u00f1o 2010 la potencia e\u00f3lica instalada alcanzar\u00e1 los 20155 mw.  Tal es la importancia que ha alcanzado la energ\u00eda e\u00f3lica en la cobertura de la demanda que ha impulsado el desarrollo de una normativa especifica de conexi\u00f3n a red.  el objetivo general de esta tesis doctoral es evaluar la capacidad de los parques e\u00f3licos en mantener la continuidad de suministro y proponer soluciones t\u00e9cnicas que garanticen el cumplimiento de las exigencias t\u00e9cnicas de conexi\u00f3n. Los estudios de integraci\u00f3n propuestos en este trabajo se han realizado aplicando las normativas y procedimientos de operaci\u00f3n espec\u00edficos de conexi\u00f3n a red. Esta es una de las caracter\u00edsticas m\u00e1s innovadoras de la presente tesis doctoral. la necesidad de mantener la continuidad de suministro de parques e\u00f3licos ante huecos de tensi\u00f3n, en funci\u00f3n de criterios t\u00e9cnicos espec\u00edficos, ha propiciado un avance tecnol\u00f3gico muy significativo para el cumplimiento de las exigencias de conexi\u00f3n a red.
