Es decir, durante la presidencia de ronald reagan y george bush (padre) en los estados unidos. Los filmes escogidos fueron: la trilog\u00eda de alien (alien, aliens y alien3), terminator y su secuela t2, por \u00faltimo, thelma &#038; louise. La selecci\u00f3n de estos filmes descansa sobre la intenci\u00f3n de la investigadora de evidenciar la transformaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica (est\u00e9tica) y psicolog\u00eda (\u00e9tica) de las mujeres protagonistas y con ello cuestionar las categor\u00edas de g\u00e9nero (femenino y masculino) que atraviesan estas mujeres. El an\u00e1lisis textual permite investigar la representaci\u00f3n en el filme desde un corte lineal (segmentaci\u00f3n) y desde un corte transversal (redundancias). Este an\u00e1lisis permite, adem\u00e1s, hacer conexiones entre los textos analizados y entre los textos f\u00edlmicos y el contextos sociopol\u00edtico y la escena cultural.
