Los gatos fueron clasificados en funci\u00f3n del sexo, procedencia (callejeros, de piso y de viviendas con acceso al exterior) y edad (cachorros, j\u00f3venes y adultos). Se realiz\u00f3 la necropsia de todos los animales, as\u00ed como el estudio coprol\u00f3gico mediante una t\u00e9cnica bif\u00e1sica . Adem\u00e1s, se estudio mediante t\u00e9cnicas de elisa la presencia de coproant\u00edgenos de cryptosporidium parvum y giardia lamblia. El suero sangu\u00edneo de cada gato se someti\u00f3 a una t\u00e9cnica de aglutinaci\u00f3n directa modificada para la detecci\u00f3n de anticuerpos espec\u00edficos contra  toxoplasma gondii.  la preValencia global de par\u00e1sitos fue del 96,7%. En total, se ha evidenciado la presencia de 17 especies de par\u00e1sitos, cuyas preValencias fueron las siguientes: giardia lamblia (69,3%), toxoplasma gondii (34,7%), cryptosporidium parvum (28,7%), isospora rivolta (9,3%), diplopylidium n\u00ed\u00b6lleri (37,3%), dipylidium caninum (30,7%), joyeuxiella pasqualei (26,0%), diplopilydium acanthotetrum (16,0%), taenia taeniaeformis (8,7%), toxocara cati (18,2%), ancylostoma tubaeforme (6,9%), aelurostrongylus abstrusus (8,7%), eucoleus aerophilus (2,7%), ctenocephalides felis felis (53,3%), otodectes cynotis (26,7%), rhipicephalus sanguineus (8,7%) y spilopsyllus cuniculi (2,7%). El an\u00e1lisis estad\u00edstico indica que los gatos callejeros tienen mayor probabilidad de estar parasitados por endo- y ectopar\u00e1sitos. Adem\u00e1s, los gatos de menos de doce meses callejeros son los que con mayor probabilidad est\u00e1n parasitados por i.
