El conocimiento detallado del campo de aplicaci\u00f3n de los m\u00e9todos sin malla puede ayudar a resolver de forma sencilla muchos de los problemas que hasta ahora han sido resueltos con gran dificultad. dentro de los m\u00e9todos sin malla, el m\u00e9todo de diferencias finitas generalizadas ha sido aplicado con \u00e9xito en multitud problemas en diferentes  campos de la ciencia y de la ingenier\u00eda. esta tesis constituye un estudio en profundidad del m\u00e9todo de diferencias finitas generalizadas. El estudio se centra en la obtenci\u00f3n de una estimaci\u00f3n fiable del error cometido en la derivada primera como consecuencia de la aplicaci\u00f3n del m\u00e9todo de diferencias finitas
