Estos analisis los realizamos tanto en corazones controles como en corazones hipertroficos por sobrepresion. Tambien hemos estudiado la posible prevencion del desarrollo de hipertrofia mediante el tratamiento cronico con dos dosis de captopril. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que el ventriculo izquierdo de la rata es heterogeneo, siendo las duraciones de los pas: a &lt; pl &lt; s y con la hipertrofia estas diferencias disminuyeron: a =&lt; pl =&lt; s observandose un incremento en la duracion del pa en a y pl. Estas diferencias en la duracion de los pas en situacion control se relacionaron con una distribucion heterogenea en la densidad de corriente transitoria de salida (ito). En la hipertrofia, se observo una disminucion de la densidad de ito en todas las localizaciones, que explicaria el aumento de la duracion del pa en a y pl pero no asi en s. Esto podria explicarse por el incremento observado en la corriente de fondo total, la cual esta incrementada en todas las celulas hipertroficas.
