Varias prote\u00ednas cumplen funciones cruciales en el metabolismo del aluminio, y otros, en cambio, causan procesos t\u00f3xicos y enfermedades al interaccionar con \u00e9l. A su vez, se ha visto que el aluminio puede substituir metales ya unidos a prote\u00ednas, cambiando la funci\u00f3n enzim\u00e1tica de \u00e9stas. El metal m\u00e1s afectado por la competitividad del aluminio es el magnesio, debido a su parecido f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmico. Los datos estructurales y termodin\u00e1micos de complejos aluminio-prote\u00edna son escasos en la literatura, aunque sean datos de gran importancia para entender y evitar la toxicidad del metal. En esta tesis, considerando la primera capa de coordinaci\u00f3n de los metales en las prote\u00ednas, hemos estudiado las interacciones del aluminio y la prote\u00edna en diferentes zonas de la prote\u00edna, y hemos comparado estos datos con el magnesio, con el objetivo de conocer las caracter\u00edsticas de la prote\u00edna requeridas para que esta sustituci\u00f3n tenga lugar. este trabajo se ha realizado mediante las herramientas que nos ofrece la mec\u00e1nica cu\u00e1ntica, y concretamente, la teor\u00eda del funcional de la densidad<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
