Se ha llevado a cabo un estudio del proceso de hidr\u00f3lisis del herbicida asulam haciendo uso de un m\u00e9todo conductim\u00e9trico, hall\u00e1ndose que la velocidad de dicho proceso disminuye al incrementarse la alcalinidad del medio, hecho an\u00f3malo en herbicidas tipo carbamato. Como resultado del estudio cin\u00e9tico se propone un modelo de hidr\u00f3lisis que implica cat\u00e1lisis por el disolvente, agua, seg\u00fan un mecanismo t\u00edpico an+dn, que implica a las formas protonada y desprotonada, en el \u00e1tomo de nitr\u00f3geno, del herbicida asulam. De la dependencia de la velocidad del proceso con el ph se estimaron las constantes de velocidad elementales del proceso de adici\u00f3n nucleof\u00edlica del agua a las formas protonada y desprotonada seg\u00fan los valores de ph predomina la hidr\u00f3lisis a trav\u00e9s de una u otra forma; as\u00ed, a partir de ph 9.5 la hidr\u00f3lisis involucra principalmente a la forma desprotonada del asulam, siendo la velocidad de hidr\u00f3lisis muy lenta. Por debajo de dicho valor predomina la hidr\u00f3lisis de la forma protonada, ello aunque su concentraci\u00f3n es muy reducida a esos valores de ph. El an\u00e1lisis de productos mediante hplc \/ uv-vis mostr\u00f3 un rendimiento del proceso del 4 % en un per\u00edodo de 12h, llegando en presencia de iones met\u00e1licos, como el fe2+ y cu2+, al 20 %. Se hallaron como productos de la reacci\u00f3n sulfanilamida, \u00e1cido sulfan\u00edlico y metanol. el estudio cin\u00e9tico de la hidr\u00f3lisis de la forma protonada se complement\u00f3 con su modelizaci\u00f3n con las herramientas que proporciona la qu\u00edmica computacional. Se emplearon dos modelos, uno de ellos implicaba la participaci\u00f3n de una mol\u00e9cula de agua en el estado de transici\u00f3n de la adici\u00f3n nucleof\u00edlica, mientras que en el otro se utiliz\u00f3 un cluster de dos mol\u00e9culas de agua.
